JD Vance claimed to speak for us, but what he said had nothing to do with what’s really happening in our neighborhoods. It was all fiction. It was disrespectful. And it was designed to divide.

So let me be clear: Los Angeles stands united.

The same way we came together after the devastating fires earlier this year, we are standing together now. As families, as business owners, as community leaders, and as elected officials, we will not be divided.

And we will not be distracted by someone who flies in, passes judgment, spreads misinformation, and flies right back out.
