** Two Ways to Take Action to Defund Planned Parenthood and Big Abortion

ACTION 1: DEFUND PP DAY
GLA is partnering with Live Action for DefundPP Day ([link removed]) this Saturday, June 28th at 10:00AM. DefundPP Day is a prayerful, peaceful, nationwide day of action at Planned Parenthood facilities across the country. The goal is to have one day of united, national grassroots activism that can be amplified online to send a clear message to our nation’s leaders:
Defund Planned Parenthood! Defend Life!

ACTION 2: CONTACT BOTH OF YOUR U.S. SENATORS
The U.S. Senate is planning to vote on its version of the Big Beautiful Bill before July 4th. This is why the Defund PP Day is planned for this Saturday.
The legislation would strip over $700 MILLION in taxpayer funding (our tax dollars!) from Planned Parenthood. 60% of registered voters agree with eliminating Planned Parenthood’s public funding ([link removed])

This means the bill could:
* Close 200 Planned Parenthood abortion facilities
* Rescue 130,000+ unborn children every year
* Protect countless women from dangerous and negligent practices ([link removed])
* Redirect over $700 million in taxpayer dollars away from abortion
It is critical that we call both U.S. Senators to tell them to support the reconciliation bill because it removes Federal funding from the abortion industry. Our Senators and their staff need to hear from every pro-life Georgian, especially because of their own stance on abortion and refusal to defend the most vulnerable!

The message is simple. Here’s a sample script you can use or modify to better fit your communication style:
“I am calling to ask the Senator to vote FOR the Senate version of The Big Beautiful Bill. I support it because it eliminates taxpayer funding of the abortion industry which 60% of Americans agree with. We should be helping women and families by using our hard-earned tax dollars for real healthcare (abortion is NOT healthcare;) for programs which publicly fund local organizations that offer the support pregnant women want and need; and expanding the Child Tax Credit. The life-affirming language must remain in the bill - no exceptions. Thank you for making sure the Senator receives my message.”
Senators Ossoff and Warnock need to feel the pressure from us, their constituents.
* They need to hear why you’re asking them to vote for the bill.
* They need to know there are millions of pro-life Georgians who yield influence. Please ask your circle of influence to call!
We MUST end forced taxpayer funding of abortions.
