On Saturday, Trump made the unilateral decision to bomb Iran — an act of war that is blatantly illegal and unconstitutional.
To prevent our nation from collapsing into the type of monarchy that our founding fathers rebelled against, our founding fathers vested the power to declare war to Congress, so that a President could not singlehandedly make the decision to drag America into an unjust and unpopular war:

Trump’s decision to bomb Iran without Congressional authorization is by far the most egregious and un-American action he or any modern President has ever taken.
This is clear grounds for impeachment and removal from office.
Unfortunately, there are still many MAGA members of Congress who are willing to cede their authority to the President and are comfortable giving Trump unlimited power like the kings that the founding of our nation was a declaration against.
Members of Congress have a constitutional and moral responsibility to reclaim their authority to declare war — to restore checks & balances and to prevent Trump from entangling our nation into a war that the majority of Americans are against.
While we wait for Congress to grow a spine, Defend Our Courts is fighting to protect the last line of defense for Democracy — our courts. That’s why we are working non-stop to help Dem supreme court justices in key swing states. Trump is attempting to replace them with MAGA loyalists who will let him act as a king and rig elections in his favor — like in Pennsylvania’s upcoming 2025 supreme court retention election.
