Late last Saturday, June 21, 2025 Governor Greg Abbott signed into law the Texas Ten Commandments Bill (SB 10) by Senator Phil King and Representative Candy Noble, to allow the display of the Ten Commandments in Texas public schools. Victory! Gov. Abbott Signs Bill into Law Stopping City Councils from Using Taxpayer Dollars to Fund Abortion Travel! |
Yesterday, Sunday, June 22, Gov. Greg Abbott signed into law, SB 33 by Senator Donna Campbell and Representative Candy Noble, which will stop city councils from using taxpayer dollars to fund abortion travel and abortion logistical support. This was another big issue the Texas Values Policy Team advocated and testified for during the 2025 Legislative Session. Read our Press Release here.

Also on Sunday, June 22, Governor Abbott signed SB 1257 by Senator Bryan Hughes and Representative Jeff Leach, to protect patient rights and ensure that detransitioners seeking insurance coverage for medical interventions, reconstructive procedures, and other treatments that align with their biological sex, have access to the healthcare they need.
