Saturday was a decisive night in American history and I wanted to update you.
For 46 years now, Iran has terrorized the United States. For 25 years now, American presidents have said that Iran can’t have nuclear weapons.
But it took President Trump to actually act on that promise.
I commend President Trump for taking resolute and strong action, consistent with what he’s said about Iran and nukes since entering politics. I also commend our troops for their brave and skillful action.

As for what happens next, the ball is in Iran’s court. The ayatollahs can still have peace.
But if they target American troops or citizens in the region or around the world, they will feel the full force of the United States military.
