Stay Safe During this Heat Wave: Resources For New Yorkers

Dear NY-14 neighbors,

An extreme heat watch is in effect across New York City until Wednesday, June 25th. Temperatures are expected to rise into the 100s and can be dangerous.

The best way to stay safe during extreme heat is to stay in air-conditioned spaces. Don’t have an air conditioner? See if You Qualify for A Free Air-Conditioner through the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP). Applications close TODAY, June 23, 2025 at 5PM.
