In a landmark 6-3 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court has upheld Tennessee’s law banning so-called “gender-affirming” care for children, dealing a massive blow to the transgender lobby and the Biden administration.
The decision greenlights similar laws across more than 20 states—laws designed to protect children from puberty blockers, hormone manipulation, and irreversible surgeries.
Chief Justice Roberts, writing for the majority, stated that while the issue stirs intense debate, it’s ultimately for lawmakers—not activist judges—to decide.
Justice Sonia Sotomayor dissented passionately, accusing the majority of abandoning children to “political whims.” She read her dissent aloud in court, underscoring just how high the political stakes are.
This ruling comes after years of legal battles, during which the Biden administration sided with activists pushing radical medical interventions on minors. The Court’s decision now sets a lower bar for upholding these bans—a decisive turning point in the fight to protect children.
More than 180,000 children currently live in states where “gender transition” for minors remains legal without parental consent.
But that’s changing.
CitizenGO has stood on the front lines of this battle since the beginning—supporting state-level efforts, launching petitions, and helping everyday parents speak up. And now, we’re preparing to re-launch our most powerful campaign yet.
We’ll soon call on President Trump and Congress to finish what the Court just started—by passing strong federal laws to permanently ban the mutilation and chemical castration of minors.
The tide is turning. This Court decision proves it.
