Comrades,

We write today with heavy hearts following the devastating bombing in Iran. We mourn the loss of life and denounce, unequivocally, all acts of war and imperial aggression. As socialists, we stand firmly against the machinery of death, no matter which government unleashes it. The bloodshed will not bring peace, justice, or safety to anyone, anywhere. We cannot bomb our way to peace. We must say it clearly and consistently: war is a tool of the powerful to divide, displace, and dominate.

The road ahead will be difficult. We are facing a global rise in authoritarianism, militarism, and corporate greed. It is in these times that our commitment to solidarity must deepen. Our struggles here in New Mexico are connected to struggles in Tehran, Gaza, and so many other countries affect by global economic warfare. Let us hold the line together against fascism, and for a future rooted in justice, dignity, and radical love.

Escribimos hoy con corazones pesados tras el devastador bombardeo en Irán. Lamentamos profundamente la pérdida de vidas y condenamos sin reservas todos los actos de guerra y agresión imperialista. Como socialistas, nos oponemos firmemente a la maquinaria de la muerte, sin importar qué gobierno la utilice. El derramamiento de sangre no traerá paz, justicia ni seguridad para nadie, en ningún lugar. No podemos bombardear nuestro camino hacia la paz. Debemos decirlo con claridad y firmeza: la guerra es una herramienta del poder para dividir, desplazar y dominar.

Nos esperan tiempos difíciles. Enfrentamos un aumento global del autoritarismo, el militarismo y la avaricia corporativa. En estos momentos, nuestro compromiso con la solidaridad debe profundizarse. Nuestras luchas aquí en Nuevo México están conectadas con las luchas en Teherán, Gaza y en tangos toros lugares afectados or la guerra económica global. Mantengamos la línea juntos contra el fascismo y por un futuro basado en la justicia, la dignidad y el amor radical.

Endorsement Request City Council

The Santa Fe DSA Housing Working Group in Collaboration with La Alianza Tenants Union, has put together the following housing platform, which will guide our vision for housing in northern New Mexico. We will be voting to adopt this as our official platform at the June 29th general meeting.
