INCARCERATION OF THE HEART

“The peace that surpasses all understanding, that’s an amazing place to be. And that’s by surrendering every day to God.” —Tina
As a child, Tina went to church every week and did well in school. These positive images were part of the facade she built up around herself. Inside she was angry and hurt.

Her homelife was troubled, especially after Tina turned 12 and her mother married a man who became abusive.

Tina would invite people over to hang out, but when they would arrive at her door, she would turn them away. She found herself in a number of unhealthy and abusive relationships. The worst of which resulted in involuntary manslaughter.

She went to prison thinking of life away from her kids. She cried out to God, “If You will give me peace, I will serve You for the rest of my life.”
