John — we know it feels like there’s bad news happening all the time right now.
So today, we’re reaching out with three bits of good news from the Heartland:
- Earlier this month, Americans across the Heartland showed up in historic numbers to the No Kings protests. News outlets are estimating that over five million people showed up nationwide — signaling unprecedented momentum for pro-democracy, pro-freedom movements like ours, even in red and purple states.
- After Joni Ernst’s “we all are going to die” comment in reference to the GOP Medicaid cuts, Iowa’s U.S. Senate race was reclassified by TWO of the nation’s top race raters from Solid Republican → Likely Republican. It’s a small shift, but it’s promising. If we’re going to take back the Senate next year, we need to seriously compete in states like Iowa (and Kansas and Ohio) across the Heartland — and now, experts are confirming that we can.
- Elon Musk spent millions of dollars to prop up a candidate for Supreme Court in Wisconsin — and he lost… BIG TIME. Wisconsin voters proved that their elections cannot be bought by Elon Musk, no matter how much he spends.
These are all promising signs of what could happen in the Heartland in 2026 and beyond. But before we get into the thick of election season, we need to raise the resources necessary to support candidates running in targeted races up and down the ballot.
