I know it’s been a tough few months — I've read your emails, and I’ve spoken to families, neighbors, and constituents at town halls and forums across the district.
JOhn, I’ve had conversations with folks around Virginia – parents, small business owners, federal workers, just to name a few – and the message is always the same:
People just want a fair shot and economic security for their families.
But right now, Virginia is set to lose nearly 32,000 jobs in the next year alone.
62% of federal contracts are spent here, and of those 32,000 jobs, federal workers account for almost 10,000 of them. The role that the federal government plays in keeping Virginia's economy going full steam ahead cannot be understated.
We’re talking about thousands of our neighbors, family, and friends whose lives will be thrown into turmoil by an administration that couldn’t care less.
I came to Congress to deliver results for our community and build a stronger economy for our country. Not stand by while millions of Americans struggle.
I know it’s been a tough few months — I've read your emails, and I’ve spoken to families, neighbors, and constituents at town halls and forums across the district. The entire Commonwealth is struggling to get ahead.
Creating jobs and economic growth matters now more than ever. That’s why I’m working around the clock to fight these reckless job cuts and to boost our local economy, which is exactly what my bipartisan bill to create a dedicated Office of Agritourism will do.
