Audubon’s Summer Issue Is Hot Off the Press
Heading to the beach this summer? So are the adorable Piping Plover puffballs featured in Audubon’s latest cover story—and the conservationists whose decades of effort have turned the tide for the species in the Great Lakes. It’s just one example from the magazine’s new issue that illustrates the creative ways people are fighting for birds to thrive. These stories also remind us of what’s at stake in such efforts, like the irreplaceable ecosystems in Alaska now under threat. So, as the season gets hotter, we hope this sampling of stories will inspire you to get fired up about birdlife, too. If you want to stay attuned to birds and get future issues of Audubon in the mail, consider starting an annual donation. Thanks for reading!
