John, my good friend Bernie Sanders recently tweeted something important about Citizens United that the entire Democratic Party needs to hear:

Earlier this year, I was proud to reintroduce the We The People Amendment in the House that would overturn the Citizens United decision that allowed corporations and Super PACs to wreak havoc on our political system in the first place.
Will you add your name in support of getting Super PAC money out of Democratic primaries AND overturning Citizens United once and for all?

I’m proud to say that since my first campaign for Congress, I haven’t taken a single cent from corporate PACs, and I don’t seek out billionaires to use as ATMs. If we’re going to remake our party for the working class, we need every Democrat to do the same.
Because while Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans may be taking it to a new level, the truth is our democracy has been vulnerable to the influence of wealthy billionaires, special interests, and corrupt Super PACs all the way since the Supreme Court’s flawed decision back in 2010.
The next time Democrats are in power, we can’t just talk the talk. We need to walk the walk and finally take action to end the corrupting influence of Big Money — both in our own primaries and for everyone who wants to run for office.
But those deeply entrenched special interests aren’t going to give up easily. It’s going to take a mass nationwide movement to change the status quo.
So John, if you’re with me and Bernie in this fight, will you add your name today to demand Democrats get Super PAC money out of our primaries AND commit to overturning Citizens United for good?

This fight won’t be easy, but it’s one we must win if we want to create a government that puts working people first.
In solidarity,
Pramila
