Friend, I’ve always been fascinated with how storms build.
It’s not a linear process, but rather an exponential one. Water vapor in the air condenses around particles, like dust, to build a cloud. And the more water there is, the bigger the cloud grows. The toughest part is the beginning. The conditions have to be just right.
I have found over the past four years (wow, four years!) that building a campaign is a similar process.
This started as me having an idea in my basement, and essentially, I was the first water droplet of our campaign. The next droplets were my friends and family. And the next batch of droplets were supporters from across Illinois and the country – individuals passionate about bringing more science and a trusted neighbor to Congress.
Now here we are, barely a week away from our FEC deadline, and what was once a few water droplets has the chance to grow into a full-fledged storm!
Friend, as we face this critical June 30 deadline, we have our biggest opportunity to demonstrate our storm’s strength. Every dollar builds our storm larger, and any amount is greatly appreciated (and supplies the water droplets we need!).
