Hi,

Amazon is everywhere, even at Black Lives Matter protests. But whose side they’re on might shock you.

Amazon has enjoyed a long, profitable relationship with ICE and police departments all over the country -- in ways that put Black and brown people, the folks standing in solidarity with them in increased jeopardy.

Amazon could sever its relationship with ICE and police today. But they’re counting on everyday folks just like you to look the other way as they power the technology behind ICE and police.

Sign the petition: Tell Amazon to cut all ties with police and ICE.

For years, Amazon has been silently arming police with neighborhood surveillance cameras and dangerous facial recognition technology, powering the software system’s behind ICE deportations, pricing out local Black and brown-owned businesses from our communities, and squashing any attempts for even basic humane reforms to their warehouse workplaces, even during a global pandemic.

Make no mistake: Amazon is profiting on police profiling of Black and brown people. Using Amazon Ring cameras and Neighbors app, Amazon built an almost nation-wide surveillance network of our homes and communities, and then handed that data over to police.

But that’s not all: Amazon aggressively sells their facial recognition software, called Rekognition, to both police departments and ICE. This enables police to screen and identify protesters and a time when many who are standing up for justice are getting maced and fired at by rubber bullets.

Amazon also has a special relationship with ICE, contracting their cloud computing software to streamline deportations, family separations, and the Orwellian collection of immigrants’ biometric data -- including their faces, fingerprints, and iris scans.

Nationwide, activists are demanding justice, accountability, and freedom from police violence and oppression. That can’t happen as long as Amazon continues to power technology for police departments and ICE.

Join thousands of activists just like you. Sign the petition: Tell Amazon to cut all ties with police and ICE.

Thanks for taking action,
