From housing to healthcare, childcare, and everyday essentials, we can all feel that the cost of living is too damn high.
Instead of addressing this issue, however, Congressman Gabe Evans is going along with President Trump and Republican leadership to cut Medicaid and SNAP so that they can give trillions of dollars in tax breaks to their ultra-wealthy donors.
On top of that, Trump’s unpredictable tariff wars are only adding more uncertainty and financial stress to our farmers, small business owners, and working families who are trying to make ends meet every month.
Congress, including Gabe Evans, should be asserting its Constitutional power to reel in Trump and the chaos he is creating with his tariff taxes on working families. Instead, Evans has given up his power–our power–to Trump.
We know that Colorado’s 8th Congressional District deserves a real leader—someone who understands the kitchen-table issues facing so many of us. That leader is Dave Young.
Since being elected as our State Treasurer in 2018, he has led Colorado through some tumultuous times. He’s helped keep our state financially stable and has invested in critical programs like public schools and infrastructure projects. He’s also protected our state’s employee pension and SecureSavings programs so Coloradans who have worked their entire lives can retire with dignity.
As a state representative, he fought to increase funding to support Coloradans with disabilities and protected funding for our public schools and lands.
