Good morning!
I hope today finds you well.
Last night, the US bombed three sites in Iran. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop because I cannot imagine that there won't be retaliation. Of course, there's nothing that I, personally, can do about it, and neither can you. I'm turning my focus to productive and enjoyable pursuits instead because I don't like to feel helpless.
That's the theme of this week's sale, incidentally. I have two bundles that start at only $5 each that can help you focus on the basics and your personal situations. The Basics Bundlehas 6 ebooks that can help you focus on specific areas. The Prepper's Interactive Bundle can help you audit your preps and create a plan for your unique situation. I know that when I feel stressed about events outside of my control, focusing on what I can control helps a lot.
I'm really happy with our new apartment. Whoever would have thought I'd be excited to do my own laundry? It's just so lovely to be able to get in and out and do things for myself. I still struggle with my limitations, though.
I used to take photos from around the world, sometimes unusual photos because small, charming things made me happy. Now that I use mobility aids, wandering around far away cobblestone streets isn't in the cards (at least not right now.) I decided to come up with a new photo project to appreciate the happy little things I'm able to do now that I couldn't for such a long time. If you'd like, you can follow along on my author Instagram account. Maybe my happy little things will make you smile too.
Today, I'm going to unpack some more boxes (the goal is 3 boxes), read the rest of my novel outside on the patio, and go to the grocery store. More happy little things I couldn't do before!
Remember, focus on what you CAN control. Don't take the little things for granted. Find your happiness and lean into it hard. We prep to make our lives better in difficult times, not to wallow in fear and panic.
Have a wonderful week ahead.
Stay safe.
Be happy.
Love,
Daisy
