Friends,

It was great to be back home in the district this week and hearing directly from so many of you.

While here, I sat down with former Congressman Kevin Brady for Coffee with Crenshaw to discuss the One Big Beautiful Bill—our effort to lock in the Trump tax cuts, restore fiscal sanity, and reimburse Texas for defending the southern border.

I also had the honor of joining President Trump at an incredible military parade celebrating 250 years of the U.S. Army—a powerful reminder of American strength, service, and sacrifice.

You can find more details on both of these highlights below. As always, thank you for subscribing to the newsletter. Serving the people of Texas’ Second District continues to be one of the greatest honors of my life.

Sincerely,

"Mornings with Maria"

Earlier this week, I joined Mornings with Maria to discuss the growing threats we face—from the dangerous alliance between Iran, Russia, and China to the urgent risk of a nuclear Iran. I also shared what an honor it was to join President Trump at an amazing military parade celebrating 250 years of the U.S. Army—a powerful and timely tribute to American strength. Thank you, President Trump, for the invite. Let’s do it again for the Navy in October.

Coffee With Crenshaw

Image

Earlier today, I sat down with former Rep. Kevin Brady at Coffee with Crenshaw to chat about the importance of the One Big Beautiful Bill, our plan to lock in the Trump tax cuts, restore fiscal sanity, and reimburse Texas for defending the southern border. Chairman Brady helped shape the original 2017 tax cuts, so it was great to break down the wins in our new bill together. This was a strong morning with strong allies—and a clear message: we're fighting to keep your taxes low, your border secure, and your government accountable.

Preventing a Nuclear Iran: Congressional Support for Trump’s Strategy

Earlier this week, Congresswoman Wagner and I led my colleagues in sending a letter to the President supporting his efforts to prevent a nuclear Iran and protect American lives. We made it clear: any deal that allows Iran to continue enriching uranium is unacceptable. I fully support President Trump’s strong stance that the regime must abandon all nuclear capabilities and, if necessary, take decisive action to stop Iran from threatening our allies or our homeland. Israel’s defensive strikes are justified, and the world is safer when Iran is weaker — not empowered through proxy terror or nuclear blackmail.

RIOT Act

Last week, I introduced the RIOT Act to hold violent, non-citizen rioters accountable. If you're not a U.S. citizen and you attack a police officer or damage public property during a riot, you will be detained, deported, and banned from returning. Currently, too many non-citizens are able to stay—even after committing serious crimes during riots. This bill ends that. America is a nation of laws, and if you break those laws as a guest in our country, you don’t get to stay.

"A Former CIA Station Chief on the Israel-Iran Conflict"

Image

Former CIA station chief Ralph Goff returns to analyze the actions, likely outcomes, and fearmongering surrounding the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran. Regime change. World War 3. Tucker vs Cruz. Iranian civil war. America’s role. With decades of experience running covert operations across the Middle East and beyond, Goff gives us a grounded assessment of the strategic risks and geopolitical implications as Israel pushes the Iranian regime closer to the brink of collapse.

Ralph Goff is a 35-year veteran of the CIA and a 6-time station chief who served in Europe, the Middle East, and Central and South Asia. He also served as the Chief of the CIA’s National Resources Division, working extensively with “C Suite” level US private sector executives in the financial, banking, and security sectors. Today, he is a risk management consultant and contributor for The Cipher Brief.
