Completely unbelievable, John.

Yesterday, Vice President JD Vance parachuted into California but “couldn’t remember” Senator Alex Padilla’s name when attacking him in his remarks.

“I was hoping Jose Padilla would be here to ask a question, but unfortunately I guess he decided not to show up because there wasn’t the theater,” Vice President JD Vance said in Los Angeles.

Let’s be real. JD Vance served with Alex Padilla in the United States Senate. He knows his name.

This disrespect for Californians has reached a new low, John. We are all justified in being furious and outraged. But we need to channel that into political power. That means ramping up organizing efforts that will take back the U.S. House. Will you pitch in $35 or more right now?

“He knows my name,” Senator Alex Padilla said bluntly. “Look, sadly it’s just an indicator of how petty and unserious this administration is.”

During his Presidential campaign, Donald Trump promised revenge and retribution. He promised to unleash the military on his political opponents who he called “the enemy from within.”

While ignoring rising prices and the economic instability he created, it’s clear that Donald Trump sees California as the “enemy from within” and is committed to keeping his campaign promises for revenge.

‼️ He deployed the national guard and military to patrol Los Angeles neighborhoods over the objection of Gov. Gavin Newsom. When the governor stood up against this, Trump called for him to be arrested.

‼️ When California’s Senator Alex Padilla questioned Secretary of Kristi Noem at a press conference, he was forced to the ground and handcuffed.

‼️ And now, rather than answer questions, JD Vance is parachuting into California just to mock Sen. Padilla by pretending not to remember his name.

There is so much work to be done for everyday Americans, but instead the Trump Administration is doing everything possible to target and mock Californians and others across the country.

There is no magic wand to stop the chaos, John. We wish there was.
