Hello all!
During this time of sheltering in place, distance learning, and working from
home, we’ve been connecting educators, parents, and students to resources that
can be used for bullying prevention conversations, to facilitate social-emotional
learning, or to work through bullying situations. We’ve been creating online
bullying prevention content since 2006 and encourage everyone to visit our
sites and access the free resources, especially the new distance learning hub.

2020 Unity Awards Recipients Announced
The Unity Awards honor those who have made outstanding contributions in addressing
and preventing bullying in their communities. The award recipients, who are
leaders in creating a kinder, more inclusive, and more accepting world, were
chosen by the members of PACER’s Youth Advisory Board.
Meet the Recipients
Free Inclusion Kit
This summer, use the “Include Someone: Make a Difference” kits, created in
partnership with Cartoon Network, to encourage youth to be inclusive. Each
kit contains resources for up to 50 participants. One kit can be ordered at
no cost. Ten kits are $5, 25 kits are $10, and 50 kits are $20, which covers
shipping and handling. Order kits today!
What’s new at the Los Angeles office? Carmen’s Corner!
Episode 1 of Carmen’s Corner – a new video series hosted by Carmen, a Kids
Against Bullying puppet – is now available. The first episode features Carmen
and special guests as they talk about all aspects of kindness. The series focuses
on preventing bullying through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion, and is
presented in both Spanish and English. The video series – as well as the live
puppet show presented in Los Angeles and surrounding areas – is designed for
a kindergarten through 3rd grade audience. Watch Episode 1: Kindness.
New Online Module: Cyberbullying
This module takes a comprehensive look at the dynamics of using technology
to bully. The page provides a definition of cyberbullying, ways to help youth,
FAQs, and statistics on cyberbullying, along with an interactive feature to
“check your knowledge.” Visit the module.
COVID-19, Distance Learning, and Bullying Prevention
These new infographics were designed for elementary school students, middle
and high school students, and parents to illustrate the relationship between
COVID-19, distance learning, and the potential for cyberbullying. Download
and share the infographics.
