Right now, Senate Republicans are just weeks away from voting on their cruel tax bill that gives more to the very wealthy in this country, while taking away from Americans struggling just to get by – hardworking Coloradans like our farmers and small business owners.

Let’s be clear: the Republican budget will kick millions off their health care, increase prices for Coloradans, auction off sacred public land, and add trillions to the national debt — just to bankroll tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy, many of whom aren’t asking for and don’t really want them!

This is the opposite of fiscal responsibility. It's fiscal madness. And we’re determined to fight it every step of the way.

I promised this grassroots team I would do everything in my power to fight back against Trump’s disastrous agenda, and I intend to keep that promise. That’s why I'm demanding extended hearings on the GOP budget before the Senate votes, at the very least delaying this extreme legislation and exposing Republicans’ cruel cuts to the services the American people rely on.

My view is simple: If Senate Republicans want to strip health care away from millions of Americans to give the ultra-wealthy a tax cut most of them don’t want, they should do it in public.
