Hi there, it’s Steve Scalise.


I took some time to jot down a few of my thoughts. I admit, it’s a longer
email but I hope you’ll take a minute to read it over.


Why did I write so much? Well, my colleagues and I are in a serious pinch.


I’m not ashamed to admit June has been unusually slow in terms of fundraising.
I don’t know if it’s because the Midterms seem so far away or the summer slump
is taking its toll – either way, we’re coming up DANGEROUSLY short in the final
stretch of the quarter.


Unfortunately, the same is not true for the Democrats…


House Democrats just posted a 45 million dollar fundraising haul. And they’re
telling anyone who will listen that they’re making massive inroads in Trump
territory! That's a knockout punch, folks.


Frankly, if we don’t get our act together before the MOST IMPORTANT deadline
of the year, I’m afraid the consequences would be truly devastating.

If we fall short, we’ll be forced to 1) slash digital outreach efforts in
swing districts,2) gut recruiting efforts for volunteers, 3) shut down voter
registration initiatives,4) concede all three upcoming Special Elections, 5)
and hand the Democrats a gift-wrapped victory.


They’d be OVER THE MOON if we had to pull back our block-and-tackle campaign
operations.


That’s why I set a goal of raising another 200,000 dollars before our
all-important Mid Year Deadline.It’s a long-shot but if that’s what it takes to
fully fund all the critical campaign infrastructure we need to win, I won’t
hesitate – NOT FOR ONE SECOND!

Look, this deadline was important before…


But with THREE Special Elections barrelling towards us, nothing is more
important than rallying a last-minute fundraising surge.


I'm not asking for a miracle but I am asking for a lifeline. Can you spare
just $5 or $10 to help us out? Every little bit counts.


If you can pitch in more, that would be even better. Can I just ask you to
pitch in something?
