Folks, it’s almost hard to remember now, but JD Vance actually ran for Senate in 2022.
He spent a whole two years there before he became VP.
Over the course of those two years he served alongside my friend, Alex Padilla. I guess he was spending too much time on his eyeliner to get to know his colleagues, because this happened yesterday:
JD Vance calls Alex Padilla 'Jose'
That’s the kind of person JD is.
JD, let me tell you something: We know you think you have to do this kind of stuff so your boss likes you more. We know you treat jobs like stepping stones — you only ran for senate to audition for vice president, and you only wanted to be vice president so you could run for president.
But this smarmy, crypto-racist act isn’t doing you any favors. Latinos don’t like it. Nobody likes it. And you’re going to get smoked when you run for president in 2028.
Now, back to my friend, Senator Alex Padilla.
He’s one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. He’s serious. He’s dedicated to his people, to his job, to doing the right thing, respecting the Constitution, and getting results. That’s what you get with an MIT educated engineer, someone who’s been serving his community since he was first elected to Los Angeles City Council at the age of 26.
He is everything JD Vance is not. And thanks to people like Trump and JD, he’s in the eye of the storm right now. The MAGA right is all over him, and he needs our help.
Let’s stick it to JD and show Alex we’ve got his back.
Chip in to this email and we’ll split your donation between Alex Padilla’s campaign and mine. We can send a real message when Alex rolls out his FEC report to the public after his deadline on June 30th, and I know Alex would appreciate the help.
