Every single New Yorker knows that Bragg’s disastrous “criminal justice reforms” are only adding fuel to the fire...every single New Yorker is being forced to live with the dangerous repercussions of these policies...and every single New Yorker is right to be pissed off about it.
This includes me.
My name is Maud Maron. I don’t just live and work here, I’m raising my family here in Manhattan. And, as the mom of four public school kids, I am deeply troubled by what Alvin Bragg is doing to our once-great city.
With over 20 years as a public defender in Manhattan and the Bronx, I understand the justice system and I will prosecute all criminals regardless of their background.
And as someone who spent 20 years as a litigator, I can unequivocally condemn Alvin Bragg’s politicized prosecution of President Trump. Bragg’s use of a “novel legal theory” to elevate a misdemeanor to a felony in President Trump’s business records case sets a very dangerous precedent and should have been laughed out of court.
What’s more, the hardworking men and women of New York City would rather see their district attorney prosecuting violent criminals, not engaging in this sort of weaponization.
That’s the reason I’m running. That’s exactly what I pledge to do.
And that’s why I so urgently need your support today.
So, can I count on you to rush me your one-time contribution of $35 today?
Like I said, Bragg has deep-pocketed billionaire backers.
In fact, he’s staking his entire reelection hopes on being able to run wall-to-wall ads aimed at getting voters here to forget his abysmal record of crime, filth, and degeneracy.
But keep in mind, Soros-backed district attorneys in Los Angeles (George Gascon) and San Francisco (Chesa Boudin) were soundly defeated in last year’s election. What’s more, in his first election, Bragg won with only 211,686 votes. That’s out of 1,209,469 registered voters here. That’s a very low turnout.
My point?
By running a grassroots campaign focused on “connecting the dots” between Alvin Bragg and the failing conditions of our city – a campaign of knocking on doors, phone calls, emails, rallies, townhalls, and the word of mouth and hard-hitting ads – you and I can win this race.
Even though it’s Manhattan...an area with a “deep blue” history...
...voters are willing to put safety and security for their families ahead of party affiliation – especially in district attorney races.
I’m hearing and seeing confirmation of this everywhere I go out on the campaign trail. New Yorker’s are sick of being accosted every time they walk out their front door...are sick of risking their lives to ride the subway...and are sick of seeing their schools crumble.
The numbers don’t lie.
