This summer is officially underway — and now that Trump’s Budget Bill has passed the House and reached the Senate, so is our fight to stop it. 

I am hearing from folks every day who are concerned about this disastrous proposal.

Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” is ugly. It will slash billions of dollars from Medicaid, which threatens the health care benefits of millions of Americans and could force rural hospitals to close.

It will abandon the middle class and actually raise expenses for Americans living below the poverty line.

It will put critical programs like SNAP on the chopping block — and leave families struggling to put food on the table.

It will cut funding for clean air in elementary schools, Head Start classes for young kids, and Pell Grants to help people afford college.

The list goes on and on.

I am sounding the alarm about this disastrous budget bill — but with all of the legislation that the Senate is responsible for passing, I don’t want to lose sight of what’s on your mind either.
