Notice of Public Meeting, Jamestown Rio Vista Water & Sewer District, JRV Sewer Trunk Line Project

The Jamestown Rio Vista Water and Sewer District Green River, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 6:00 pm, local time, on July 8th, at 3700 WY-374 Suite B, Green River, WY 82935. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the following project. JRV Sewer Trunk Line is a project designed to provide a main line from Gaensslen Dr, northwest of Jamestown, through Jamestown following WY-374, crossing on the southeast side of Jamestown, paralleling the water line installed in 2017 to Green River where the line will tie into the Green River System. This project will set the framework for regionalized sewer in Jamestown and surrounding area.

At the meeting, Sunrise Engineering will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates, and the funding plan can also be reviewed at the Jamestown – Rio Vista Water and Sewer Office (3700 WY-374, Suite B, Green River, Wy). Based on current cost estimates, Jamestown Rio-Vista Water and Sewer plans to borrow $10,850,000 from the Wyoming Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. It is anticipated that the project will receive $1,958,000 in principal forgiveness. Specific Purpose Tax revenue currently being collected for the project by Sweetwater County will be used to repay the loan. Loan terms will be 0.5% interest rate and 20 years.
