** Georgia Primary Underscores Urgent Need to Address Systemic Racism in America’s Voting System ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------
When Georgia voters went to the polls to cast their ballots in the state’s primary election on Tuesday, June 9, many Black voters encountered hurdles that highlight the systemic racism impacting America’s voting system.

These closures only exacerbated the racially disproportionate impact of actions Georgia had already taken in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to gut key protections of the Voting Rights Act in Shelby County v. Holder in 2013.
