Leading the Nation in Healthcare Reform
John,
Governor Mike Braun held a ceremonial signing for 10 groundbreaking health
care reform bills, positioning Indiana as a national leader in lowering costs
and increasing transparency. These new laws bring major change, requiring
hospitals to clearly post prices, banning anti-competitive physician noncompete
contracts, cutting prescription drug costs, and holding nonprofit hospitals and
insurers more accountable. The reforms empower patients, drive competition, and
ensure Hoosiers get better care at lower prices.
“I promised Hoosiers I would take on the big health care industry and get
solutions to the problems making health care unaffordable. My partners in the
General Assembly and I have enacted landmark health care solutions to bring
transparency, accountability, and competition to our health care system.
Indiana is now the national leader in health care reform and lowering prices
for patients.” — Governor Mike Braun
