Dear John,
There’s been a lot in the news lately about the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. And frankly, most of it misses the mark.
Critics claim this bill only helps the rich. But as a veteran, husband, father of four, and full-time student, I’m here to tell you: this simply isn’t true. And advocating for this legislation is personal to me. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act is about protecting the future for American families like mine and yours.
Allow me to explain.
I served in the Air Force from 2008 to 2018, first in security forces, then as a K9 handler. After medical retirement, I went back to school and earned my degree in social work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Now I’m working on my master’s degree. My wife and I have been married since 2013, and we’re raising four amazing kids in Las Vegas, including our oldest, who starts college this fall.
Like so many families in Nevada, we’re feeling the squeeze. Groceries, gas, school fees, sports clubs—it’s all more expensive. So, when Congress talks about letting the 2017 tax cuts expire, I know what that really means: a tax hike on everyday Americans, not just the wealthy.
Here’s the truth: - If Congress fails to act, Nevada taxpayers will see an average tax increase of over $1,400 per year.
- The tax rates for middle-income earners will rise, cutting deeper into paychecks already stretched thin.
- Small business owners will lose key deductions, making it harder to grow, hire, or survive another economic hit.
- Across the U.S., more than 80% of middle-income earners will pay higher taxes.
This isn’t a break for the rich. It’s relief for the working families who are doing everything right, but are struggling to get ahead.
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act would stop that tax hike. It keeps more money in your pocket, where it belongs. That’s not just good policy. That’s common sense.
As a veteran, I know what it means to serve. And right now, I’m working to serve our community by protecting your hard-earned dollars from being swallowed up by Washington’s reckless spending.
Will you join me in sending a clear message to Congress?
Sign our petition today and tell your lawmakers to support the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
For families like mine, this is about more than numbers. It’s about our kids. Our future. Our freedom to build the life we’ve earned.
Thanks for standing with me.
