Hi folks,
Utah Senator Mike Lee and Senate Republicans are trying to sneak the sale of nearly 3.3 million acres of protected public lands into Trump’s “big beautiful bill.” This land, some of which is in Colorado, would be auctioned off to fossil fuel companies and real estate developers—all to help pay for tax giveaways to the ultra-wealthy and giant corporations.
Not on Michael’s watch.
Michael is raising the alarm on this issue and working with Democrats and Republicans to ensure that this public lands fire sale never sees the light of day.
If you support Michael and his efforts to protect our public lands, chip in what you can today. >>
Mike Lee’s provision, which he added in the hopes nobody would notice, would threaten some of Colorado’s most precious public lands, harm some of our most accessible places to hunt and fish, and potentially damage our state’s water supply.
In Colorado, our public lands are the foundation of our economy. Their historical, cultural, and recreational value is priceless. That’s why Michael has worked alongside outdoor champions, state and local leaders, small business owners, and tribal nations for years to protect them, including 53,000 acres within the Camp Hale-Continental Divide National Monument.
We must honor our history and protect these lands for our children, grandchildren, and future generations.
Mike Lee must know: our public lands are not for sale. Not now, not ever.
Our public lands should be protected, not used as political bargaining chips. Join Michael today in his effort to DEFEAT Trump and Mike Lee’s "big beautiful bill".
