John, I wanted to take a moment to share my journey with you and why I've always been committed to fighting for our great state of Arizona. (If you don’t have time to read the whole email, you can click here to pitch in and support our campaign.)
I grew up in a working-class family in the heart of Tempe. Like many other middle-class families, we faced our fair share of challenges and financial uncertainties. Those experiences taught me the values of resilience, hard work, and community support. I learned early on that when times get tough, our community can be a lifeline, and that's where I found my calling.

Determined to make a difference, I put myself through college and graduate school by working multiple jobs. I decided to become a social worker, using my education to advocate for those who needed it most. My journey led me to run one of the largest domestic violence shelters in the country. It was here that I witnessed firsthand the profound impact that supportive services can have on individuals and families in crisis.
But as I worked on the front lines, I also saw how the failures of our government were affecting everyday Arizonans. From healthcare to education, it was clear that our representatives were not serving the people as they should. That's when I decided to run for office. I stood shoulder to shoulder with leaders like Gabby Giffords, and we fought tirelessly to make our government work for Arizonans.

In 2020, I had the honor of serving as Arizona's Secretary of State during a pivotal election. When Republicans attempted to undermine the election's integrity, I stood firm against them, including Donald Trump, who tried to overturn the will of Arizona's voters. We upheld our democratic process, and I couldn't be prouder of that achievement.
Fast forward to 2022, I ran for governor and won by less than 1% — a testament to the belief Arizonans had in our vision for a better future. As governor, I've worked hard to pass a bipartisan budget, protect reproductive rights, and make affordable healthcare more accessible. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished.
Now, I'm gearing up for one of my toughest fights yet. In 2026, we need to protect the progress we've made and continue building an Arizona for everyone. But this journey requires the support of grassroots supporters like you.
