==============================

Today is World Refugee Day and at Project HOPE, we are honoring more than 120 million people around the world who have been forced to flee their homes. And we are committed to supporting the journeys children and families must take toward healing and stability. Thanks to our generous supporters, Project HOPE is reaching refugees and displaced people with essential health care, mental health support, and dignity.

And for this World Refugee Day, we're sharing three powerful stories of resilience with you - from Poland, Colombia, and the United States.

==============================

Poland: Viktoria's journey of healing

When the full-scale invasion happened in Ukraine, Viktoria fled to Poland with her four children. Life as a refugee was full of uncertainty - but through Project HOPE's mobile mental health units, she found support and strength.

Art therapy sessions and one-on-one counseling help Viktoria process trauma and rebuild her sense of self-worth. And her children are finding their own sense of normalcy in a new place, with care, community, and a path forward.

==============================

Colombia: Dignity for displaced families

In Colombia, Project HOPE is supporting Venezuelan refugees and host communities with critical health care.

Our team provides medical consultations, maternal health equipment, hygiene supplies, birth kits, and psychosocial support to thousands of families - meeting urgent needs with compassion and care.

==============================

United States: Kalil's story of safety and second chances

After serving with the Afghan military, Kalil and his wife fled the fall of Kabul, sleeping outside the airport for eight nights before finally evacuating. Now reunited with their children in Houston, Kalil's family is building a new life.

Thanks to Project HOPE's partnership with San José Clinic, community health workers are providing care directly to refugee families like Kalil's. And Kalil, his wife, and their children all received their COVID-19 vaccines in the comfort of their home - a moment of relief and security after years of fear.

Friend, these stories are only possible because of our generous supporters.

Thank you for standing with refugees and displaced people - today, and every day.
