Friends,
Today across the U.S., we celebrate Juneteenth. The day carries a
heightened meaning and importance this year, as millions continue to
take to the streets to fight for a just and equitable future.
At the same time, a global pandemic is highlighting the
already existing crises of systemic racism, poverty and ecological
devastation facing communities across the world.
This Saturday, Earth Day Network, a proud mobilizing partner,
invites you to tune in to the Mass Poor People’s Assembly and
Moral March on Washington Digital Justice Gathering
broadcast: Saturday at 10 AM EST & 6 PM EST and Sunday at 6 PM
EST.
RSVP
to the event and receive reminders before the
livestream.
The Mass Poor People's Assembly and Moral March on
Washington will be a historic digital event. Across the
internet and the airwaves, we will drive the vision and agenda of our
communities into the national narrative. People will come together to
demand that the 140 million poor and low-income people in our nation —
from every race, creed, gender, sexuality and place — are no longer
ignored, dismissed or pushed to the margins of our political and
social agenda.
Rise
with us by registering for the digital justice gathering on June 20,
2020.
Together,
Kathleen Rogers President
