A major embarrassmentHi John,
I've just published a new blog post:
The Biggest Loser [link removed]
Gavin Newsom just lost his lawsuit to remove the National Guard from LA. The 9th Circuit's decision is unanimous. Even the Biden-appointed judge ruled against Newsom. As we predicted, Newsom's decision to go after our Guard members rather than the rioters has ended in disgrace.
In a Floor speech [link removed], I demanded Newsom apologize to our dedicated National Guard Members and California taxpayers. So far, his slush fund to “Trump-Proof” the state has produced a series of court loses, while our Newsom-Proofing plan [link removed] is succeeding faster than we could have hoped.
As an added measure, I am introducing a bill [link removed] to target the group behind the LA riots, known as CHIRLA. The "nonprofit" spent $471k to make Newsom Governor. He then rewarded them with $34 million in grants to support their goal of "dismantling" ICE.
CHIRLA proceeded to enable the LA riots by tracking ICE agents and broadcasting real-time locations to the rioters, who then obstructed operations and attacked officers. My bill will make groups like this ineligible for public funding and will strip them of their tax-exempt status.
In other good news, the Secretary of Education has responded to my Floor Speech [link removed] pointing out an astounding one-third of community college applications in California are fakes just used for financial aid fraud. The Department is now implementing new identify verification requirements.
Meanwhile, Bernie Sanders is claiming he "invited" me to a socialist political rally in my district. In fact, I never heard from Bernie. I did offer to debate him when he was here with AOC. But he refused, instead attacking me [link removed] from behind a teleprompter. My offer still stands.
Finally, Newsom is again trying to defy the will of voters. Last year, he tried to remove from the ballot our initiative to make crime illegal – and failed. He then led the campaign against it, failing again. Now, he's trying to de-fund it. But his own Supermajority just overrode him.
Help us keep defeating Newsom [link removed]
