Pride is more than a celebration. It’s a powerful reminder of the progress we’ve made and the work still ahead. It’s a call to action to protect the rights of our LGBTQIA+ neighbors, especially at a time when those rights are under coordinated attack across the country.

Pride began as a protest, led by trans women of color who stood up against injustice. That legacy still guides us today. While we’ve made historic strides toward equality, there are still far too many who face discrimination, violence, and fear simply for living as their authentic selves.

As Maryland’s Attorney General, I’ve made it my mission to defend the rights and dignity of every Marylander.

* Supporting legislation for marriage equality and transgender rights
* Opposing efforts to ban transgender individuals from serving in the military
* Defending inclusive education to create safe and respectful environments for all students
* Protecting access to gender-affirming care and ensuring decisions are made by patients, families and doctors, not politicians

Let’s be clear: Love is love. Trans rights are human rights. And no matter who you are or who you love, you belong here in Maryland.
