The U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld a 2023 Tennessee law banning harmful and irreversible gender transition procedures for children and ruling that it does not violate the Equal Protection Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment and does not classify on the basis of sex.

Jonathan Saenz, President and Attorney for Texas Values was present in Washington D.C., pictured above with Chloe Cole, for the oral arguments in the Skrmetti case in December of 2024. Regarding today’s decision, he stated:

“The U. S. Supreme Court decision today makes it clear that states can protect kids from harmful and dangerous attempted "sex-change" mutilation and sterilization methods. All children deserve the opportunity to grow up healthy and whole. Our Texas child protection law passed in 2023 on this major safety and health issue is now stronger than ever.”

Victory for Texas Children!

In a significant victory for Texas families, the State of Texas agreed to a final judgement this week to abandon a Biden Administration rule that would have forced the Texas foster care system to mandate radical “gender identity” ideology!

The Texas Attorney General’s Office challenged the Biden rule as unlawful in September 2024. In March 2025, a nationwide stay of the rule was issued by a federal district court in Tyler, Texas. With this week’s decision, the rule is entirely revoked.

Special Guest Senator Brandon Creighton and Host Jonathan Saenz, President & Attorney for Texas Values Discuss School Choice and Bills that Strengthen Families!

"This bill SB 2 (Education Savings Account) is right in line with empowering our parents with the rights and opportunities that we know they already have, those are God-given.

SB 12 (Parental Bill of Rights) identifies and creates solutions for each of those different challenges as well as banning DEI in K-12 and sexual orientation instruction and clubs...

Just as we’re strengthening our respect for parents and parental rights, we’re returning the 10 commandments to the classroom and further protecting prayer in schools.

All of these reforms will be a national model, that’s where Texas should always be, the tip of the spear for education reform.

‘Back to Basics’ in education and across many of these other issues, that is launched from the hearts and minds and the input and values of Texas families, and Texas Values always stands for that and stands for them..." ~ Sen. Brandon Creighton

Your Texas Values team was at the Texas Legislature every single day to make sure that your faith, family, and freedom were protected. The theme of the session was going ‘Back to Basics’ with major wins for parental rights, education, and religious freedom. In addition to speaking with legislators and testifying around 150 times on legislation, we had two very successful events where we engaged people on very important issues.

Throughout session, we distributed over 3,000 legislative guides to help people navigate their way around the Texas Capitol while the Church Ambassador Network of Texas, distributed personalized Bibles to Legislators.

For almost two years, Brooke Slusser was forced to share her room and private spaces with a MAN, and she didn't even know it!

Brooke only found out that time and again, she had been sharing a hotel room and other private spaces, with this male when she saw his bag in their shared bathroom and noticed something called a “Tuck Kit.”

At Texas Values, we are constantly reminded of the importance of the laws we work on passing, and that without them, Texans lose rights, Texans lose life, and Texans like Brooke are left vulnerable and violated. Brooke’s experience makes it clear why it matters that our Texas law is explicit in codifying the distinction between male and female, based on God’s design and basic biology. No room for confusion. No room for “we aren’t sure what a woman or a man is” excuses. No room for these major violations against girls and women.
