Democrats have been on their heels. We’ve spent so much time responding to the daily barrage of BS from Donald Trump that we find ourselves playing defense all the time.
We need to own that.
But what we owe the American people is not just a good defense -- but we also have to have an alternative Democratic vision to what is being provided to us every day.
We need an offense.
I was recently asked a great question about this at a town hall recently. Here’s my quick answer:
Our middle class needs to grow, and we need to have a plan to do that. Democrats need to chart the way forward, not the BS that's been given to us by Donald Trump.
