John— Living in a neighborhood not far from Casco Bay, I’ve seen firsthand what climate change is doing to Maine—toppled white pines, washed-out shorelines, and storm damage that towns can’t afford to repair. The climate crisis isn’t on the horizon. It’s here, and it’s getting worse.
Today marks the first day of summer—and the kickoff of Maine Conservation Voters’ Summer Sustainer Campaign. They have a goal to recruit 25 new Kennebec Friend monthly donors before the first day of fall to ensure Maine remains a national leader in conservation and continues to implement bold climate policies throughout the year.
