John, last week the House of Representatives voted to cut over 1.1 billion dollars from PBS & NPR.
And it’s just one part of Trump’s scheme to dominate the information we see and hear—by silencing journalists, defunding watchdogs, and drowning out facts with propaganda.
Now, with his billionaire donors like Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg controlling the biggest social media platforms—and allowing fake news to spread unchecked—Trump is ramping up his attacks on the last real sources of truth left: public media.
Do you believe Congress should stop Trump’s plan to defund PBS, NPR, and independent journalism?
John, Trump and his supporters in Congress seem hell-bent on getting rid of public media like PBS and NPR, and they have been for years. Why?
Because independent media that’s free to every American won’t let him lie without pushback.
Public media is one of the only places left where people can get fact-based, local news without a political agenda. And for rural communities and small towns, it’s often the only trusted news source at all.
MAGA Republicans in the House already voted to slash more than $1.1 billion from PBS and NPR. If we don’t fight back now, they could come back for more, and possibly sink them for good.
