Billionaires fly tax-free while the planet burns — but a global summit in
Spain could change that by taxing luxury air travel to fund climate
justice.

Add your name to demand a climate solidarity tax on private jets and
first-class flights — and make the ultra-rich pay their fair share.

John,

While many of us worry about our carbon footprints, billionaires are
jetting around the world in private planes. And even worse, they're doing
it tax-free: aviation fuel isn’t taxed like the gas in your car.

It’s not just unfair — it’s outrageous.

But that could change in just weeks at a major UN summit in Seville where
leaders will debate a simple idea: tax private jets and luxury air travel,
and use the money to fund climate justice and development.

Leaders from Brazil, France, Kenya and Barbados already support the idea
of a solidarity tax (often referred to as a “levy”). Spain and the EU are
on the fence. If enough of us speak out now, we can tip them into action —
before the Seville summit.

[ [link removed] ]Tell Spain, Brazil, France and EU governments to tax private jet fuel
and luxury flights — and fund climate solutions.

This levy would be simple, smart, and fair:

* End the kerosene tax break for private jets — right now, billionaires
flying private often pay zero tax on their fuel, while everyday
drivers are taxed at every fill-up. It’s one of the clearest climate
injustices — and it’s time to change it;

* Tax luxury, high-emission seats — business and first-class flights
take up more space, burn more fuel, and should be taxed more heavily;

* This would help raise more than $100 billion annually – without
hurting everyday travellers;

* Send the money to climate-vulnerable communities.

And it would be just the beginning. If countries can agree to move ahead,
this would pave the way for bold commitments at COP30 in Brazil — and
unlock real financing for climate justice. We’re not talking scraps. We’re
talking hundreds of billions raised fairly and spent where it matters
most.

Now, you might wonder: will this really work?

Good question. And here’s the honest answer: only if there’s political
will. The fossil fuel and aviation lobbies are pushing back hard. But more
and more governments are saying, “Enough.” In fact, more than 20 countries
already have airline levies, including countries like France and Norway.
This is about updating them for a new reality: the climate emergency.

That’s where you come in. Politicians know how to count — and they’re
counting names. Every signature now adds to the pressure to act in
Seville.

This isn’t just one petition. It’s part of a growing wave. From taxing
billionaires and fossil fuel giants, to clamping down on crypto and
shipping pollution — there’s a rising global movement for fair,
people-powered climate funding.

We’ve done it before. You helped push banks to drop coal, fossil firms to
face lawsuits, and the EU to tighten its climate rules. Now, it’s time to
say: climate justice means taxing those most responsible — and using the
money to build a better future.

Let’s make history in Seville.
