I was glad for the invitation to join Dr. Jamal Bryant and the New Birth Missionary Baptist Church for their Juneteenth revival, the Uprising Summit, last night in Atlanta.
Though the white supremacist forces in Texas conspired to keep enslaved people from getting the memo about their freedom until June 19, 1865, they knew then and we must know now that no power on earth can bind a free people forever.
The prophet Daniel helps us understand why we must ensure today that we don’t ever miss the memo about what’s really happening and what God wants. I hope this Juneteenth message is a blessing to you, and I invite you to share it with your communities this weekend.
