LEGISLATIVE UPDATE:

On Monday, June 16 at 11:20 p.m., the legislative session officially adjourned sine die, marking its formal conclusion. The budget was passed by both the House and the Senate and now moves to the Governor for final action.

The Governor has three options:

1. Sign the budget in full, enacting it as passed.
2. Exercise line-item veto authority to remove specific appropriations while still approving the remainder.
3. Veto the entire budget if he determines that critical components are missing.

If the Governor vetoes the entire budget, a special legislative session will be required. By law, a finalized state budget must be in place by June 30 for the government to continue operating as usual.

Limit of two separate images/ads per entry. Details/informative text should be short; use website links for in depth/descriptive/background info about your event/speaker.
