Today, we celebrate Juneteenth — recognizing the day in 1865 that Union Gen. Gordon Granger reached Galveston, Texas, to deliver the news to enslaved African Americans that they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed.

As part of our Week Of Action, we’re asking our members to Rest and Invest — to spend the day enjoying time with family, friends, and loved ones as we honor the past; and to shop Black and BOLDLY and support Black-owned businesses in your community.
