Dear AMP Community,

This newsletter began as a compilation of resources for collective care related to the COVID-19 pandemic. In a country where Black people are 2.5 times more likely to be killed by police and 4 times more likely to die from the coronavirus, we must acknowledge that systemic anti-Black racism is also a pandemic.

Starting with this Juneteenth* edition and moving forward, we’ll be expanding the Collective Care Newsletter to include resources focused on Black liberation, wellness, and joy. Please send resources our way by emailing: [email protected] or using the hashtag #AMPCollectiveCare on social media.

*On this day in 1865, two and half years after emancipation, a group of formerly enslaved Black people in Galveston,Texas were notified of their freedom. June 19 is now celebrated as a holiday known as Juneteenth that commemorates Black freedom.
