New York City is the greatest city in the world, but President Trump and the GOP are attempting to ruin it with their disastrous policies.

With the big, ugly budget bill making its way through the Senate, New York City is preparing for the worst. The budget will have a devastating impact on the city and the millions of New Yorkers who call this city home.

This budget includes:

$13.5 billion a year loss to New York’s Medicaid program.
$2.1 billion loss to federal funding for food assistance.
$4.4 billion—or 50%—cut to housing assistance.
Elimination of federal aid for immigrants whom the Affordable Care Act does not cover.
Cuts to grants that pay for city jobs.
Lower incomes for the poorest 10% of New Yorkers and higher incomes for the richest 10% of New Yorkers.

This budget, on top of the already damaging tariffs, will be devastating to the city we call home.

I am pushing back against Trump and the GOP, but I need your support so we can create a safe and affordable New York City for all—not just the ultra-wealthy.
