John,
Stanford University just released a study that proves that gun rights groups strategically increase money to candidates that will protect their interests following fatal school shootings.
That’s right, John, while families reel from the loss of their children being gunned down, groups like the NRA funnel money to politicians in an attempt to offset public demand for life-saving gun violence prevention legislation.
But at Brady, we’re fighting every single day to protect kids and change our country for the better. We’re dedicated to tirelessly counteracting the gun lobby’s blood money and we can’t do it without you’re help.
If you’re one of the majority of Americans that value kids’ lives over gun lobby profits, make a gift to Brady now and fuel our fight against the gun lobby. >> [[link removed]]

This study reveals a vile reality, but it’s not surprising that the gun lobby would launch into action to protect their profits and maintain their deadly influence after communities face unimaginable tragedy.
In districts where fatal school shootings occur, groups like the NRA, Gun Owners of America (GOA), and the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), increase their political contribution by 30.2% to candidates that will fight against legislation that would hurt their bottom line.
And the deadly monetary fuel increases exponentially ahead of elections in the area of a fatal school shooting: within two months of Election Day, gun lobby contributions increase by a staggering 1,730%. The gun lobby is dedicated to padding politicians’ pockets so they will placate constituents with empty thoughts and prayers while failing to serve their interests and keep kids safe.
This is unprecedented proof that the gun lobby is working directly against what the American people want – an overwhelming 60% of Americans think preventing gun violence is more important than protecting gun rights. And the majority of Americans want life-saving policies like an assault weapons ban and Universal Brady Background Checks.
The American people want change – not the NRA's guns everywhere agenda. It's up to all of us to fight to protect our kids when politicians would rather profit of their death. If you're with Brady in this life-saving fight, donate today to help us keep fighting for common sense gun violence prevention every day.
