Happy Juneteenth, John!

Today, we commemorate the pivotal moment when enslaved people in Texas finally learned of their freedom – more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

But John, our fight continues to this day.

Trump and the MAGA right want to indoctrinate the next generation with a false narrative that erases key parts of Black history, like Juneteenth.

They want to erase the realities of slavery, Jim Crow, and the ongoing legacy of racism that we’re still fighting today.

We can’t let that happen.

The late Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee worked tirelessly to make Juneteenth a national holiday. Now, we must honor her legacy and protect our history by electing the next generation of Black leaders who will stand up and fight for our culture and our rights.

The Collective PAC is strategically focused on creating a truly equitable democracy where our nation’s local, state, and federal governments have diverse and talented elected leadership, and Black people are fully represented in positions of power to create the policies necessary to progress our communities forward. Since our inception in 2016, we have helped 110 candidates win general elections at the local, state, and federal levels. We strive to support the next wave of progressive and unapologetic Black candidates who will usher in a sea of change in our political system while helping America fulfill its promise of democracy by creating a government that will truly be for the people and of the people.
