Dear John

Earlier this year we asked you to email Guillaume Faury, Chief Executive Officer of Airbus, Europe’s biggest aircraft maker.

Airbus had invested in and were doing business with AVIC, a Chinese aircraft and arms manufacturer which supplies the Burmese military with the jets they use to bomb schools, hospitals and homes.

We wanted Airbus to use its influence to stop AVIC arming the Burmese military, and if it couldn’t or wouldn’t then to end its business partnership.

The campaign was led by Justice For Myanmar and French campaign group Info Birmanie.

They have now learned that Airbus has quietly sold its interest in AVIC. You can read their media release here. ([link removed])

Too many international companies are still doing business with the Burmese military, as you can see from our Dirty List here. ([link removed])

We will keep campaigning to make sure international companies cut all links to the Burmese military.

Thank you for your support.
