John, 70 Christians – men, women, and children – were marched into a church and brutally beheaded. We couldn't stay silent. THIS WEEK at the U.N. in Geneva, I just personally delivered an urgent oral intervention before the U.N. Human Rights Council on behalf of persecuted Christians in the Congo (DRC). What exactly brought me here? I'm here for the 70 who were slaughtered in their house of worship. I'm here for Déborah, who sang praises to God as ISIS murdered her, and for the children, who were bludgeoned, raped, or killed simply because they had Christian names. Local pastors are pleading: "We don't know what to do or how to pray; we've had enough of massacres." I'm here for them. My goal at the U.N. was to speak the truth. Pray that those in power received the truth of what's occurring in the Congo – that eyes were opened. Regardless, we will continue exposing the atrocities, defending the persecuted, and demanding justice.
