Pittsburgh Regional Transit says it will cut more than 40 bus lines from its network if it does not receive an additional $117 million from the state — far more than the governor’s budget proposal provides. 

PRT riders told PublicSource the cuts would cause longer commutes and possibly arduous walks through Pittsburgh’s steep neighborhoods.
